What IS LIPOLYSIS?

Lipolysis injections are a non-surgical medical treatment designed to remove fat as it chemically reduces the number of fat cells surrounding the injection site. It is a great treatment for stubborn fat that you can’t seem to lose.

Treatment Expectation

The level of pain of the injection varies from person to person. If you feel you have a low pain tolerance, we will apply an anaesthetic cream to help numb the area and make you feel more comfortable. We also ask for you to come to your treatment session without any face makeup. 

Complications: 

After your treatment you may experience some of the following side effects either at or around the area of injection: 

  1. Redness 
  2. Swelling
  3. Itching 

To help, we recommend you apply a cold compress or pack immediately after the treatment to reduce swelling. 

Uncommon complications can include vomiting, diarrhea, fever and infection or prolonged bruising at the site of injection

Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Treatment Steps
  1. A clean environment will be prepared for you at Renew
  2. If needed, an anaesthetic cream can be applied to the injection site
  3. The medication is injected
Aftercare Instruction
  1. Keep hydrated 
  2. Avoid alcohol for 25 hours post-treatment
  3. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after your treatment
Treatment Downtime

You can return to your normal day to day activities. However, we advise you to avoid any recreational activities for about 1-week post-treatment session.

Treatment Shelf life
This treatment typically will destroy the fat cells in the treated area for up to four years. The treatment in combination with exercise and a healthy diet will further increase the shelf life. Most paitnetns will see reeuced fat by eighth weeks.
Treatment Frequency

Most patients will have at least two to 4 treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart. Please note that during these sessions swelling may occur in the target area, but it will go down. 

During your consultation, we will come up with the optimal course of action to take to satisfy your needs.
