Treatment Expectation
The acupuncture treatment is intended to relieve pain in your body. You can expect to feel relaxed and have better sleep and better overall digestion.
Complications Include: minor pain, slight bleeding, bruising, nausea, infections, allergic reactions, and dizziness.
Duration: 20 – 30min
Treatment Steps
1. We will ensure that you are in a comfortable position in a quiet and relaxing environment.
2. After assessing optimal target points, our ND will then begin the acupuncture process.
Aftercare Instruction
After your treatment, it is recommended that you get plenty of rest. If you experience any slight pain, you may apply a hot compress to help alleviate the pain. Continue to eat healthy as acupuncture will help flush out your body’s toxins.
Try to avoid coffee and or alcohol in the days after your treatment. In addition, try to avoid ice or cold as this will increase the body’s stagnation.
Treatment Downtime
There is virtually no downtime needed for this treatment. However, it will leave you with a calming sensation, so we recommend that if you are driving yourself after your session that you wait and rest for about 15 minutes.
