WHY GET A FACIAL?
Facials are an extraordinary way to improve one’s overall skin health as well as treat specific skin types and conditions. Having a facial treatment is a great first step into starting one’s self-care regime. It is a relaxing and peaceful treatment that leaves you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and Renewed.
At Renew we don’t limit the type of facial one can get based on their skin type. However, it can be beneficial to have an understanding of your skin type so that you can choose the most effective facial for you.
Typically skin types are classified into the following five overarching categories that are often combined:
Normal skin is classified to have no major impurities as it is neither oily nor dry.
Sensitive skin is one of the most restrictive skin types as most ingredients will cause some form of irritation. Those with sensitive skin are more susceptible to skin sensitivities and allergies. natural, organic and pure products are best for this skin type.
Dry skin is most often caused by external factors such as weather and one’s health. Dry skin needs to be hydrated to help repair the natural barrier and help retain the natural oils your skin produces.
Oily skin is one of the skin types directly linked to acne and is most seen in teens and those under 30. If not treated oily skin can lead to severe hormonal acne and other skin conditions.
Those with combination skin can be seen to have both characteristics of oily and dry skin.
TYPES OF FACIALS
These facials are the least abrasive type of treatment. These facials often include similar cleansing, extracting and massaging techniques and methods to leave the client with a hydrated and fresh looking base.
These facials are similar to regular/classic ones with the substitute of more water-based ingredients and products. These facials are intended to provide immense hydration for the face leaving you with a hydrated and radiant glow.
Anti-Ageing facials are infused with ingredients that help face elasticity that will help maintain a more youthful look and feel. These facials can also help with reducing the look of hyperpigmentation in certain areas of the face.
At Renew we offer a variety of facials each with its own benefits for your skin. As seen below we have also further classified our facials into three categories(regular/classic, hydration and anti-ageing) and those that would benefit most from that facial.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GET A FACIAL TREATMENT?
Since your skin’s life cycle is approximately between three to four weeks long, at the end of the cycle is when you should look to get another facial treatment. In order to continue to see long-lasting results, we recommend that our clients get facials every three to four weeks or once a month.
After getting your facial we recommend that you do the following so that your face is given the time to breathe, heal and recover.
By following these 4 simple Renew facial aftercare steps, you will ensure to maximize the benefits of your facial as well as keep your skin feeling refreshed and Renewed!
